Design of Homogeneous Highly Ordered Functional Mesoporous Zirconia-silica Materials and Hierarchical Macro-mesoporous with the Highest Number of Active Sites from Single Precursors (sBuO)2-Al-O-Si-(OEt)3 & ZrOSi(OtBu)34
1.Introduction With the decline in reserves of certain raw materials,coupled with the ever growing needs of the population, there is increased pressure on industries to devise novel synthetic processes.The main way to improve the efficiency of those chemicals processes is the design of a new generation of inorganic chemistry based catalysts.The Sol-gel process is one of the most promising technologies permitting the development of an amazing new generation of mixed oxide materials featuring porous organisations at the nanometrie scale, a controlled stoichiometry and an excellent homogeneity of the active sites.The Sol-gel method is for instance, able to lead to aluminosilicate-based catalysts exhibiting hierarchical macro-meso porosity, as well as zirconosilicate mesosotructured materials with very low Si/Metal ratios and an excellent homogeneity. Techniques used to characterize these materials are N2 adsorption-desorption method,27Al and 29Si MAS-NMR SEM, tEM, aAS,ICP-AES,XPS and SAXRD.
