Preparation of Amino-silane Modified Superparamagnetic Fe3O4 Nanoparticles and Application for Lipase Immobilization

1.Introduction Magnetic microspheres have been showing great potential applications in biomedical and bioengineering because of their large surface area and facile magnetic separation1-3.These magnetic microspheres can be covalently connected with enzymes. However, the interactions between enzymes and magnetic supports are not quite thoroughly. In this work, tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) were employed to introduce highly reactive silanols on the surface of Fe3O4. Then they were modified with γ-aminopropyltriethoxysilane(APTS). The Fe3O4/SiOx-APTS were used to lipase immobilization with two strategies.
