Synthesis,Structure and Porous Properties of Prussian Blue Complez KCdCr(CN)6·H2O
1.Introduction The structural topology characteristic of the Prussian Blues is a simple cubic (α-Po type) network, with linear bridging of the octahedral metal ions by cyanide anion which defines pores within the framework. In this simple cubic network, all transitional metals located in the surface of pores may interact with guest molecules in the pores. In comparison with other nanoporous phases such as zeolites, these materials have lower framework densities and higher surface areas and lower enthalpies of adsorption. Therefore, these materials are ideally suited to high gas mass loadings. Although some studied progress in Prussian-blue analogues have been obtained so far, detailed structural studies based on single crystals are limited, and the gas storage properties of the complexes based on Cr(CN)63-havent been reported.
