Synthesis of lactosylated piperazinyl porphyrin and Its Interaction with DNA
A water-soluble lactosylated piperazinyl porphyrin, 5-mono4-(4-lactobionylaminopiperazinyl)-phenyl-10,15,20-triphenyl-porphyrin (MLPP), was synthesized basing on the porphyrins special affinity for cancer cells and the antitumor activity of piperazine compounds. Its structure was characterized by UV-Vis spectra, elemental analysis and 1H NMR. A model for the interaction between MLPP and DNA was built, and the binding mechanism between MLPP and cell molecules was investigated by UV-Vis spectra and fluorescence spectrum.
