Computational identification of two potential ncRNAs from 48 esophageal carcinoma-related sequences
Forty-eight esophageal carcinoma-related sequences were analyzed by various bioinformatics tools. The results indicated that 46 sequences were holomogous to the known genes with detail functional annotations. However, two sequences did not have holomogy to all known genes. Further analysis implied that these two sequences might be noncoding RNAs (ncRNA), and one of them located in the human mitochondria. Finally, the mechanisms of their functions were discussed.
