A Non-EST-Based Method for Alternative 5/3 Splice Sites Prediction in the Mouse Genome
The identification of alternative splice site in the mouse genome is an important part of the recent alternative splicing event prediction work. In this paper, a non-EST-based predicting method is proposed for alternative 5/3 splice sites identification. Only based on local sequence features, more than 72% of alternative splice sites and constitutive splice sites can be correctly classified in the mouse genome.
