Study of Immobilization and Removal Efficiency of Zn2+ from Wastewater by Anabaena sp.

Methods and materials of immobilization of Anabaena sp. used in wastewater treatment were studied in this work.The results showed the polyurethane foam (PUF) could be an excellent organic polymer immobilization matrix, which can hold as much as 15mg dry weight of Anabaena sp. by 1cm3 PUF. 70.2% efficiency of Zn2+ cleansing in flowing wastewater at the speed of 3mL/min could be reached.
