Numerical Study on Air Flow with Various Accuracy Conditions in a Turbulent Contact Absorber
Based on commercial CFD software Fluent, the flow field in a turbulent contact absorber (TCA) is simulated under the condition of no fillers and the simulation precision with different mesh interval sizes, k-ε models and boundary conditions is investigated respectively. By comparing the numerical results of air flow with experimental data, the simulation accuracy reaches highest at the condition of 5mm mesh interval size with Mean error of 12.45% and the Maximum error of 16.12%, standard k-ε model or Realizable k-ε model and the boundary condition with velocity-inlet and pressure-outlet.
