Research on High Temperature Compost Technology in Sludge Processing

Sludge treatment processes usually include minimization, thickening, dewatering, digestion and compost. Sludge disposal technologies include incineration, landfill, land application. The high temperature compost technology is an effective way in sludge processing. Taking a certain sewage treatment plant as the example, the paper focuses on the various factors which influence on the high-temperature compost. The content of organic compound decreases slowly in a cycle of high temperature compost, due to decomposition of organic compound. The content of water also reduces in a cycle of high temperature compost, because of sludge-dehydration. The process of sludge treatment can be satisfied with the requirement of innocuous, stabilization, reduction and reusing.
