Positronium thermalization process in porous materials
A modified Elastic Thermalization Lifetime Analysis (ETLA) model 1-2 is employed to study a few kinds of porous materials. Various porous silicas with possibly narrow distribution of pore size were investigated: silica gels, silica fume, ordered sillicas, Vycor glass etc. In the study some correlations between the pore structure of investigated materials and microscopic parameters obtained from the model are discussed. The model allows us to study the evolution of the Ps energy by positron lifetime analysis. The Ps thermalization in pores is described by two parameters of the model, i.e.
