A Phenomenological Description of the Pals Response on Glass – Forming Systems

In general, the PALS response of glass-forming systems, i.e. o-Ps lifetime, τ3, as a function of temperature T, exhibits a typical quasi-sigmoidal course without or with plateau level at relatively higher temperatures. Phenomenological model-free analysis of these τ3-T dependences revealed the existence of several characteristic PALS temperatures marked according to a unified notation1 as T PALS g, tLb1 and TLb2 which are located at~1.2-1.4 T PALS 1 g or~1.4-1.7 T PALS g 1,2, respectively.
