Monitoring the Crystallization Stages of Silicalite by Positron Lifetime Spectroscopy
In porous media, positron annihilation techniques (PAT) have revealed the existence of annihilation modi with long lifetime components. It has been already shown, that in zeolites those long-living states could be connected to structural and extrastructural free volumes acting as trapping centres for o-Ps and there is a correlation between the trapping pattern and the technology applied for the production of the zeolite framework. Our aim in this work was to study the possible influence of the progress of crystallization via the observation of the long lifetime components.
