Effect of Ion Irradiation on poly-L-Lactic Acid

Ion irradiated poly-L-lactic acid was investigated by slow positron beam DBS, surface and interfacial cutting analysis system (SAICAS) and electron spin resonance (ESR). Samples were irradiated by He+ ions of 150 keV with a current of 0.05 μA. The doses were 3×1014, 1×1015, 3×1015 and 1×1016 ions/cm2.
