Coincident Doppler Broadening (CDB)-Study of Layered Al-Sn-Samples at the High Intensity Positron Beam Facility NEPOMUC

The trapping of positrons in a 2-dimensional layer of tin embedded in aluminum is examined by Coincidence Doppler Broadening Spectroscopy (CDBS). For this purpose tin was grown on an aluminum surface by physical vapor deposition (PVD) under ultra-high-vacuum-conditions (UHV) with a variable thickness of 0.1 nm to 200 nm. Afterwards the tin-layer was covered by an aluminum-layer of constant thickness of 200 nm.
