S-wave resonances in positron scattering from Li and Na
We have calculated S-wave resonances in the e+-Li and e+-Na systems using the Stabilization method in the framework of hyperspherical coordinates. For the e+-Li system, resonances below the Li (n=4) threshold have been investigated and four resonances been determined, among which, the resonance associated with the Ps (n=2) threshold is reported for the first time. For the e+-Na system, resonances below the Ps (n=2) threshold have been investigated. We have located all the previously known S-wave resonances by Kar and Ho1and Ward et al. 2.In addition, two new higher-lying resonances associated with the Ps (n=2) threshold are found to be at energies of -0.06656 and -0.06353 a.u. Our main results are summarized in Table1.
