Positron annihilation lifetime study of graft-type fluorinated polymer electrolyte membranes

Positron annihilation lifetime (PAL) measurements were performed on graft-type fluorinated polymer electrolyte membranes, which were synthesized by the radiation-induced graft polymerization of styrene (grafting degree: 18%) into crosslinkedpolytetrafluoroethylene (cPTFE) films and subsequent sulfonation (cPTFE-g-PSSA). The virgin cPTFE and polystyrene (not sulfonated) grafted film (cPTFE-g-PS) were also measured as references.
