Role of Adsorbate Size on the Positron Annihilation Characteristics in Amberlite XAD-4 Adsorbed with Different Ps Quenchers

Positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy is an in situ probe and applicable to size spectroscopy in sub nanometer to nanometer scale. Apart from giving the information about the pore size, the positron lifetime spectroscopy is considered to be a powerful technique to study chemical nature of the adsorbed species on pore surfaces. In order to use this technique as an in situ probe for the study of internal surfaces, it is essential to understand the positron annihilation characteristics with adsorbates in porous material which would change the chemical nature of the pore surface.
