Positron implantation and transmission ezperiments on free-standing nanometric polymer films

Positron transmission experiments were performed on free-standing polystyrene (PS) and polymethylmetacrylate (PMMA) films of nanometric thicknesses made by spin coating. The positron implantation profile in the direction perpendicular to the surface is fully described by the median implantation depth as a function of the implantation energy (z1/2(E)) and by the penetration depth distribution.
