Influence of sintering temperature on microstructure of porous silica monoliths studied by positron annihilation techniques

Porous silica materials have been a field of intensive research due to their unique properties such as bigger pores, high specific surface area and high thermal stability. These features make the porous silica a promising candidate for various industrial applications such as catalysis supports, adsorbents, separations, filtrations, biomedicine, sensors, drug delivery systems and oil-spill clean up.
