Development of a Methodology for Infrared Aircraft Emission Estimation
This work discusses the main points of a methodology for the estimation of the infrared emission of aircrafts. It also describes the computational tools that were developed in order to support the work. Softwares for aspect ratio of a flying aircraft measurement, time synchronization, sensor calibration, and atmospheric transmissivity estimation were developed. This work also emphasizes the applications of this technology for civilian aircrafts, increasing the flight safety.
