Transverse-mode Seffection in Optically Pumped Vertical Ezternal Cavity Surface Emitting Laser with a Intracavity Lens
The spatial mode seffection of a optically pumped Vertical External Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (VECSEL) with a intracavity lens is investigated experimentally by changing the different parameters as the position of the lens, the size and the power of the pump beam. We thus showed the possibility to obtain with various diameters of the pump, as well transverse modes being able to go from the fundamental transversal mode to very high order flower-like Laguerre-Gaussian modes. We also study the frequency beating between this different modes function of the Fresnel number and of the optical pump power.
