A Ground-wave Technique for Pavement Permittivity and Thickness Estimation from GPR Data

A Ground-wave technique is introduced in this paper to directly extract pavement permittivity and thickness information from measured data of groundcoupled ground-penetrating radar (GPR). This technique enables a bistatic radar to obtain both thickness and permittivity by just one measurement, which effectively reduces measurement and computation time for GPR applications.
