Preparation and Bond Durability of the Geopolymer Mortars Modified by Water Soluble Polymer Powder
The proportion of FA - MK geopolymers mortar was proposed in terms of the results of the compressive strength. The bond tensile strength and its durability between FA - MK geopolymer mortars, which modified by polymer powder of 0, 3%, 6%, 10% dosage, and concrete slab under different curing ages and its durability of the mortars were investigated. The results indicated that the 3% dosage of polymer powder seemed to improve the bond strength slightly, and the addition of 6% and 10% water soluble polymer decreased the bond tensile strength cured at 20℃, 50%RH. The effects of the water soluble polymer of 3%~10% dosages on the bond properties are negligible at 3days curing age, the bond properties enhance with the curing age. The bond tensile strength of the mortars with 6%, 10% polymer powder reached 92%~97% of standard samples after 10 times dry and wet-freeze and thaw cycles, the bond durability can be improved remarkably. The reason is that the bend fracture energy increase with the addition of the polymer powder and the reduction of the water absorption.
