Study on the New Pavement Material of Polymer-modified Porous Concrete
The three influencing factors on the polymer-modified porous concrete(PMPC), including the ratio of aggregate to cement, the ratio of polymer to cement and the addition of fly ash, were studied,. The mechanism of strength formation and the microstructure of PMPC were explored. The results indicate that the incorporation of polymer has a significant effect on the strength performance of concrete and the optimal polymer dosage is 16%. The optimal aggregate to cement ratio is between 5.5~6.5, the compressive strength of 20 MPa and flexural strength of more than 5 MPa in concrete at 28d curing age was obtained. With the addition of fly ash, the 7d and 28d strength of PMPC increase, the void ratio and permeability coefficient reduce, the proper addition of fly ash is more effect and economical than that of increasing cement dosage. The addition of polymer or fly ash can enhance the strength of the cement binder and increase the interface binding area of contact points between aggregates. From XRD results, SBR polymer latex has no significant influence on the cement hydrate after 7d curing days.
