Structural Characteristics of Resin Concrete Ditch Cover Plate
Structural characteristics of ditch cover plates made using resin concrete superior to conventional steel grating and reinforced concrete plates were studied. The results indicate that inherent stress due to setting shrinkage was very low. The relationships between applied load and strain were approximately linear until design vehicle load and cracks were observed just over the design load. Load shared by three cross beams just under the load was 2 times larger than other cross beams for both central loading. Displacements of all cover plates decreased gradually with increase of opening angle of haunch from 90 degrees to 150 degrees
