Influence of Organic Polymers and Fibers on Vibration Damping Property of Cement-based Materials

The effectiveness of organic polymer latexes, organic PP fiber, plant fiber, organic polymer latexes and organic fiber blending on vibration damping properties of cement-based materials were studied by filling organic polymer latexes, organic PP fiber and plant fiber. The functional mechanisms of various fillers were discussed. The experimental results showed that the vibration damping ratio of cement- based materials with organic polymer latexes is 149.77% higher than that of pure cement-based materials, the vibration damping ratio of cement-based materials with organic PP fiber is 52.58% higher than that of pure pement-based materials, the vibration damping ratio of cement-based materials with plant fiber is 152.58% higher than that of pure cement-based materials, the vibration damping ratio of cement-based materials with organic polymer latexes and fibers blending is 191.08%, also higher than that of pure cement-based materials.
