Research progress of direct current injection technique in aircraft EMC test

The direct current injection (DCI) technique is being widely researched for its application in aircraft EMC test as an alternative more efficient method for conducting system level EMC clearance test during high intensity radiated field (HIRF). This paper is focused on the research progress of DCI technique in aircraft EMC test, and gives discussion on DCI test configurations for aircraft systems. Moreover, the paper points out that most research on DCI has concentrated on investigating the frequency coverage of the technique, and the equivalence and validation of the technique as related to free field illumination. In the end, the paper outlines further work being actively undertaken in order to develop DCI technique in aircraft EMC test in the future. It is hoped that this paper will provide helpful guidance on the development of DCI technique in aircraft EMC test in China.
