New Interpretation on the Theory of Bainitic Transformation

摘要：

New interpretation was put forward on the mechanism of bainite transformation in this paper as follows. The research indicates the transitional transformation is the main character of bainitic formation, and the new definition of bainite was proposed as well. The bainite ferrite nucleates at carbon-depleted region, which is a non-diffusive transform from γ to α , but hasnt shear type character; The nucleus of bainite phase transformation was single bainite ferrite phase, not eutectoid decomposition product; The bainite carbide nucleates at the interface of γ /α and grows into austenite and ferrite, finally the carbide is surrounded by ferrite. During the nucleating and growing of bainite carbide and bainite, carbon atom diffuse as long range order, while the iron and substitution atom displace along interface by means of heat activation migration, and grow up quickly.
