Effect of Interannealing on Performance of Cu-15Fe-0.15Zr in-situ Composite

Deformation-processed Cu-based in-situ composite is interesting to researchers for the preparation of high performance copper alloy presently. Fe element is cheaper than other noble metal such as Nb, Ag and the sheet or band of copper alloy is used more widely. So the sheets of Cu-Fe in-situ composite will have extensively application in the future. In this paper, the bands of Cu-15Fe-0.15Zr in-situ composites were produced by cold drawing, cold rolling process and intermediate annealing. And the effect of interannealing on its tensile strength, electrical conductivity and resistance softening were studied mostly. The test results show that the tensile strength was hardly decreased and the electrical conductivity was improved after intermediate annealing. The resistance softening temperature of Cu-15Fe-0.15Zr was higher than 550℃. Moreover, good performance matching of the tensile strength and the electrical conductivity could be achieved also.
