Effect of Double-hit Hot Compression on Microstructure of 403Nb Martensitic Heat-resistant Steel

In order to provide basic dates for the structure and property prediction system for hot tandem rolling of 403Nb martensitic heat-resistant steel, double-hit hot compressions were carried out using Gleeble-3500 thermo-mechanical simulator. The hot compressions were performed at temperatures of 950-1150℃, strain rates of 0.01~10s-1, and inter-stage delay time (ISDT) of 1~300s. The effects of compression parameters, such as temperature, strain rate and ISDT on the microstructure and static recrystallization rate were investigated. Results show that the peak stress of the first hit increases with the increasing the strain rate, but that of the second hit increases with the lowing temperature and shorting ISDT at the same time; Under a given compression temperature, the increasing strain rate promotes the static recrystallization rate. Within the same ISDT, the static recrystallization rate increases at first and decreases subsequently.
