A Precise Forming System for Fabrication of Micro Metallic Devices
Micro/Nano Metal forming attracts attention in this decade. In this study, we developed a desktop servo-press machine, a foil material feeder and a precise forming system. Precise metal forming processes including micro forging and micro joining was carried out in a progressive die by using the servo-press machine. Unit parts were formed in several processes and assembled in a unit in the progressive die. A micro valve with 1.8 mm in diameter was fabricated as a functional unit by the systems.
