Reliability Cost/Worth Evaluation of Industrial Power System
Large industrial customers are critical for the national economy, thus require high power supply reliability. Two kinds of plan are usually adopted in power supply planning to decrease the outage risk of industrial power system: multi external power supplies and self-supply power plant. In order to give comprehensive evaluation of reliability and economy for different plans, this paper proposes a method for industrial power system reliability cost/worth evaluation. It firstly quantitatively analyses the reliability cost composed of investment, operation and maintenance expense, and then proposes a method for interruption cost estimation oriented to production facilities to measure the reliability worth. An evaluation model of industrial power system reliability including isolated operation is established, oriented to production facilities, relatively to the interruption cost estimation. Finally, an example of the IEEE Gold Book standard system is given to illustrate the effectiveness of this method. It can be used in practical power supply plan selecting, with great practical significance.
