Two Fault Indicators of Inter-turn Short Circuit Fault Cage Induction Motor under Different Stator Connections
This paper used phase angle difference and phase impedance angle difference to detect stator winding inter-turn short-circuit faults, studied the influence of different stator winding connections and load. It is verified that the method is useful by experiment not only to detect incipient inter-turn short-circuit faults but also to locate the fault position, the effects are more apparent when the winding is delta connected.
