Modeling of Equivalent Magnetic Circuit for PM Relays Based on 3-D Magnetic Field Simulation
Reliability design for PM relays needs a great amount of calculation for attractive forces by magnetic circuit method. Equivalent circuit modeling of permanent magnet (PM) is the key to calculate the attractive forces precisely. Based on the dispersion curve of PM sections magnetic flux density (B) come from 3-D magnetic field simulation, this paper presents the equivalent circuit model of PM subsection. Then, we found the equivalent magnetic circuit model of some type PM relays magnetic system and calculate the attractive forces of PM relay. Furthermore, we compare the computing results with the simulation results of 3-D magnetic field and testing data. We conclude that the proposed equivalent magnetic circuit model based on the PM subsection model can improve the computing precision of attractive forces, and can serve the reliability design of relays.
