Study on the Electrical Life of AgSnO2 Contacts in Automotive Inductive Load Applications
In this paper, the electrical life of AgSnO2 contacts in automotive relay is investigated at 12 V and 24 V with different currents and other parameters. The results show that the electrical life decreases more remarkable under 24V load condition than under 12V load condition. The increment of electrical life decreases with the over-travel increasing when the other parameters are fixed. The electrical life does not increase monotonously but gets a maximum with the increasing of opening force. An estimation of the electrical life under certain conditions is also proposed in this paper.
