Study on Communication Reliability of Intelligent Apparatus

Communication function is one of the most critical technologies of intelligent apparatus. The communication reliability directly affects the accuracy and effectiveness of the intelligent apparatus telemetry and telecontrol. To overcome the noise and improve the communication reliability, the error control coding technology is introduced to the data transfer process. The principle and performance of cyclic redundancy check (CRC) codes, which are adopted in Profibus and Foundation Field-bus, are illuminated. Then the principle and performance of low density parity check (LDPC) code are deduced. Through simulation by Matlab, it is concluded that adopting LDPC code can further improve the communication reliability of intelligent apparatus.
