The Applied Research of Multi-Bus Technology in the Intelligent Automatic Switch
Since 1980s, there have appeared several types of fieldbus communication technology. Each kind of fieldbus has its technical feature and specific application field. Yet unified standard hasnt arrived until now. At present, the coexistence of kinds of fieldbuses and different requirements of industrial applications promote the development of Multi-bus integration technology.Therefore, the applied research of multi-bus technology in the Intelligent Automatic Switch is carried out in this paper, and the key technologies of its application are discussed. The paper focuses on questions in three-bus integration including Modbus, Profibus-DP and DeviceNet. And the Intelligent Automatic Switch with multi-bus modules has been designed and completed. This switch can hand off among three buses freely, to meet demands for network communications in different industries. At the same time, how to sample the data of power grid voltages and frequencies, how to deal with the data, and how to judge faults are presented. The discussed problem in this paper is universal during adapting to multi-bus, improving the level of industrial automation in enterprises, and has great application prospects.
