Structural analysis method in adjusting cable forces for a cable-stayed bridge by virtual temperature load and its application

Aiming at simplifying the analysis complexity of adjusting cable forces of a cable-stayed bridge,this paper proposes the analysis method by virtual temperature load in adjusting cable forces of a cable-stayed bridge on the basis of the corresponding relationship between the process of tensioning the cables and the process of the decrease in their virtual temperatures.In the combination of the method with the non-linear adjusting value theory,a program for the analysis of adjusting cable forces of a cable-stayed bridge,which takes the non-linear factors of the large displacement effect,P-A effect,cable sag effect into account,is re-developed by using ANSYS parametric design language (APDL) in ANSYS software.A sample cable-stayed bridge is analyzed when its cable forces are adjusted to the initial ones.The computation results verify that the method in adjusting cable forces of a cable-stayed bridge by virtual temperature load and the corresponding re-developed achievement proposed in this paper are reasonable and practicable.
