The time-dependent cyclic deformation behavior of 96.5Sn-3.5 Ag lead-free solder alloy under uniazial stressing
Uniaxial deformation behaviors of 96.5Sn-3.5Ag solder alloy under stress loading at room temperature were studied experimentally. The strain rate effect on creep deformation behavior of this material was discussed here, and the effects of different mean stress, stress amplitude and loading history on the ratcheting behavior of 96.5Sn-3.5Ag were also analyzed respectively. The study shows the deformation behavior of the lead-free solder alloy is sensitive to strain rate;when the strain rate is low,the creep is the main deformation behavior;it also can be concluded that the ratcheting behavior of the lead free solder were found to be strongly dependent on the mean stress and stress amplitude.
