High temperature ozidation of 12CrMoV steel under tensile stress
The process of high temperature oxidation of 12CrMoV steel under tensile load had been experimentally studied.The growth rates of the oxidation film under tensile load were measured.It is shown that oxidation of metal becomes more complicated under tensile load.The applied tensile stress accelerated the growing rate of oxidation layer.Even though applied tensile stress has a complicated effect on distortion,cracking and decohesion of the high temperature oxidation layer,the temperature is a crucial factor.
