Study on the Synthesis of Difluoroozymethylenealkylbenzene and the Properties of Low-temperature Viscosity
Response speed of liquid crystal displays(LCD) is contrast to the rotational viscosity of liquid crystal materials. So far, the problem that low-temperature magnitude dependence of viscosity and response time has not been resolved, which has become the bottleneck for development and application of liquid crystal display technology. In this paper, four new self-designed double-ring difluoromethoxybenzene compounds (Fig 1.) were synthesized. They were tested by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 19F NMR and MS. Their viscosities at different temperature were also tested and analyzed by AR500 liquid dynamic rheometer. It was found that they not only were super low viscosity and very small temperature dependence, but also can be used as liquid crystal solvent instead of ester components to reduce the viscosity of mixed liquid crystal materials and the low-temperature dependence of viscosity effectively. Finally, we can get the low viscosity liquid crystals at low temperature. It will have a positive meaning to solve the problem of low-temperature response speed of LCD.
