Negative Influence of Short-term Performance Pay in Small Business and Avoidance

Being recognition of employees working results, short-term performance pay is very important for small business to stimulate employees attitudes and acquire operational results. But short-term performance pay features as result-oriented and exchanging paying method, its easy to result in some negative influences, such as neglect of business goal, exchanging tendency of relationship between organization and employees and decreasing inclination to cooperation. The potential negative influences may diminish collaboration desire so that destroy cooperating relations, reduce effectiveness of the organization. The paper puts forward some potential measures like reward to collaboration, making stimulating methods rich to avoid negative influence of short-term performance pay.
