FEFLOW modeling of groundwater-surface water system of Maozui area of Jianghan Plain, Central China
The objective of this study is to get a better understanding of local groundwater system mechanism at a characteristic spot of the Jianghan plain, in the vicinity of Maozui, and eventually to give a perspective in order to understand the regional hydrogeological system of Jianghan Plain. Conceptual and analytical models were developed before modelling using FEFLOW. Steady state represents an equilibrium state of the system or in other words, the average situation of the system. Such situation is very useful to calibrate the model. Models were elaborated and improved with information notably about the aquifer physical configuration and altitude of piezometric levels.
