A AUTOMATIC DEVICE BASED ON THE IMMUNOBEAD METHOD FOR SCREENING COLORECTAL CANCER BY EXTRACTING EXFOLIATED COLONOCYTES FROM THE HUMAN FECES
Colorectal cancer is one of the leading causes of death in the world, which has become a threat to peoples health. Compared with conventional approaches, screening colorectal cancer by detecting exfoliated colonocytes has many advantages, such as high specificity and sensitivity. As one of the latest detecting approaches, enrichment of exfoliated colonocytes by immunobeads has the advantages of high recovery and high tumor-specificity. This paper systematically expounded the principle and the design of a new automatic device for the extraction of exfoliated colonocytes from human feces. This device can reduce extraction time, prevent the cross-contamination in a laboratory, and improve the compliance of laboratory staffs for treating the feces. And we optimized the condition of preparing self-made immunobeads for extracting the exfoliated colonocytes, in order to reduce the costs.
