DETECTION OF DNA HYBRIDIZATION BASED ON THE QUENCHING OF UPCONVERSION FLUORESCENCE OF NAYF4 :YB,ER NANOSPHERES
Upconversion fluorescentβ - NaYF4: Yb, Er nanospheres were successfully synthesized and their surfaces were carboxylic acid-functionalized. Based on the fact that gold nanoparticles can quench the upconversion fluorescence of β - NaYF4: Yb,Er, a sensitive sandwich-type DNA sensor was developed in this work, and the result demonstrated that the upconversion nanospheres have great potential as luminescent labels for biological applications.
