GLASS CHAOTIC CHIP MIXER AND USE IN CHIP FLOW CHEMILUMINESCENCE DETECTION
A total glass microchip mixer with herringbone structure in the main channel was achieved by one time photolithography and thermal bonding. The mixer was characterized by microscope imaging using fluorescein and rhodamine B as fluorescence probes. Mixing under pressure flow, electroosmosis flow (EOF), and electrophoresis migration in the presence of EOF were investigated. On chip chemiluminescence detection of luminol as a reaction model was demonstrated, and detection limit of 1μm level of luminol is achieved without optimization. The passive glass chip mixer could be used as a general chip platform for reaction and sensitive detection studies.
