EXPRESSION OF MIRNA-210 AND MIRNA-92A AFFECTED BY RENAL ISCHEMIA/REPERFUSION INJURY IN MICE
MicroRNAs are a group of small non-coding RNAs with modulator activity of gene expression. Recent studies have uncovered a profound role of microRNAs in ischemic diseases. This study aimed to investigate the potential expression change of miRNA-210 and miRNA-92a in kidney ischemia/reperfusion injury in mice. Quantitative Realtime RT-PCR analysis showed that ischemic kidney injury significantly increased miRNA-210 and miRNA-92a expression compared to the sham-operated controls, with prominent changes at 4 h and 24 h after recovery. ( n = 3 each, * P< 0. 05 vs. control) In conclusion, our data suggest that dysregulation of miRNA-210 and miRNA-92a expression may contribute to kidney ischemic disease.
