RESPONSE OF SODIUM AZIDE INDUCED RICE MUTANTS TO BAMV
Indirect ELISA, dot blot, and Northern blot have been done in order for investigation of sodium azide induced rice mutants response to BaMV multiplication and movement. These mutants have variable responses to BaMV though their wild type (TNG67) is previously found not supporting BaMV multiplication. Of 525 rice mutants, 29 lines (5. 52%) were found highly susceptible to BaMV infection, which gave high level of ELISA response. Northern blot showed that BaMV could move on some mutants.
