IntroductionThere are hundreds of solar salt operations around the world. Some of them employ the best technologies available for salt production. Most, however, fall short of their economic potential by allowing a low total production volume or producing poor quality salt. Many salt winning operations which are very labor intensive, either harvesting by hand or using other primitive technologies.
