Study on the Effect of Intellectual Capital on Firm Performance

摘要：

The purpose of this paper is to explore the effects of intellectual capital on firm performance. Using data collected from 92 Chinas high-tech firms, hypotheses were tested through hierarchical regression analysis. The empirical results of this study show that the three types of intellectual capital -human capital, structural capital, and relational capital - have positive effects on firm performance. Moreover, human capital indirectly influences firm performance through the impacts of structural and relationship capitals.
